Well, it's official. The Silva family is going to Kentucky! Phil accepted the job with the USDA and now we have two months to pack, clean, and try to get the house sold. Fingers crossed that things work out well! The new job starts Feb 2nd, so we are hoping to be out there mid-January or so.

Dad:  What great timing! Good to be getting out of academia at this time. All colleges seem to be cutting funding to the departments, freezing salaries and freezing hiring. The DOA has stable funding right now, and I hear, funding will be there for quite a while with this new administration. Clean air/land has become a 'hot' item in the government.
I too hope you are successful in preparing and selling the house. Not an easy job right now, but GOOD LUCK!!!

Mom:  I'm glad to finally see some new pictures.I can't wait till I come visit in Kentucky. Just think, in a few years you'll look back on this hectic time and laugh[at least I hope so] Good luck house hunting and my fingers are crossed for a quick sale of yours.
