Well, it's official. The Silva family is going to Kentucky! Phil accepted the job with the USDA and now we have two months to pack, clean, and try to get the house sold. Fingers crossed that things work out well! The new job starts Feb 2nd, so we are hoping to be out there mid-January or so.
Comments:Mom: I'm glad to finally see some new pictures.I can't wait till I come visit in Kentucky. Just think, in a few years you'll look back on this hectic time and laugh[at least I hope so] Good luck house hunting and my fingers are crossed for a quick sale of yours.Add a comment:

Welcome Baby Emily!
Emily Claire Silva was born on January 14th at 3:31pm. She was 6lbs, 3oz and 19 inches long. She had a little trouble breathing at first, it took about 20 minutes for her circulation and breathing to become normal, but she's doing fine now and had already surpassed her birth weight at her doctor appointment on Friday (6lbs 5oz as of Friday, Jan 18th!) She is sleeping and eating very well and we are all happy to have her here at last.
Zack is SO thrilled to be a big brother. He wants to hold her all the time and says he loves her little feet. He is my official diaper bag carrier and a big help. More pictures will be posted within the next couple of days!Comments:ann, adam & nicole: congrats little early one hope all is well Emily Claire what a beautiful name(hope I got that right)Grandaddy: Glad she's here at last. She is a DOLL!
I'm pleased she is doing so well and, at least for now, has not been too much trouble.
Her big brother is grinning now but just wait. A wince will come.
Its wonderful to bring another life into our world. Good luck y'all.mom & dad silva: Hi: We are thrilled with our new grandchild. So cute and happy Zack is enjoying Emily. Hope to see you and Emily before she gets too big.Add a comment:

Well, site seems to be working again so I've updated photos and am now posting a Hi! to all of you who get site updates. :) I've removed the mailing list sign up due to a lot of spam, so if you were directed here and would like to be added, please email me.
We've got a new addition to the family due on Jan 28th and Zack is very excited about becoming a big brother. Phil is travelling a lot this fall and is even going to China in November! We miss him when he's gone, but since this is what he needs to do to try for tenure, we smile and cope. :)Comments:Binky: I am interested in Xmas lists for all of you including Zach's sizes. One of these days I hope to get out to see you.
Love, Binkyann marie: Congratulations to you all! maybe they will have the same birthdays......Binky: Glad to see you're back on the site, I've missed you.Add a comment:

Wow. It's almost March. Hard to believe Zack is 2 years old! He had a lot of fun at his party and actually managed to eat more cake than he wore this year. :) It was an Elmo themed party and the kids all had a great time. Zack and Daddy had Zack's trains up and running and they were the hit of the party.
We're gearing up for a very busy year this year. Our first trip will be to florida in March and we are looking forward to some warm weather. Zack "swims" in the tub, but it's just not the same...
Phil is doing well, although he's still working quite a bit. I've started a new side business with Discovery Toys! I'm really hoping the business will do well so I can cut down on my work hours at my other job and spend more time with Zack. I'll post the link to my website at the bottom, if anyone needs to order toys check it out! :)
I'll post more Zack pics when we get back from Florida. Zack now has his own frequent flyer memberships with two airlines!Comments:Add a comment:

Just a quick update for all the Massachusetss/New England people. :)
Zack and Wendy will be coming to Massachusetts July 6th - July 13th. Phil hasn't decided if he can afford to take the time away from work, but we're hoping he can at least get away for a few days.
Hope to see you all then!Comments:Add a comment:

We can see signs of spring, but it's still a bit chilly here in Logan. We've all been fighting off colds, with varying degrees of sucess. It will be nice when the warm weather comes so we can spend some time outside!
It was nice spending time in florida with Grandma and Grandpa Bob. Zack could get used to running around in bare feet!Comments:Add a comment:

Things are very hectic around here. Zack is crawling everywhere and has started to pull himself up on things. He can take steps with help, but doesn't quite have the balance to stand on his own yet. What he DOES have are two teeth! You can just see them in some of his new pictures. His bottom front two teeth are in. He's working on the upper ones so he can REALLY bite into things! Zack's favorite things to do right now are crawl, stand and get into everything. He is enjoying trying new tastes and we are moving him into more complex solid foods. He's been getting taller now and is wearing 12 month size clothes. He's still a sturdy little guy, but definately more proportionate. His Engineer halloween costume was a big success!

Fall is here and schedules have changed for all of us. Zack had his 6 month doctors appointment and weighed in at 20lbs! The doctor says he's healthy and "a good looking kid". His next appointment is at 9 months and he should have teeth, be moving around the house (crawling or walking) and possibly saying "mama" or "dada" by then! Wow!
Zack's favorite thing these days is rolling around on the floor. We expect him to be running down the hall any time now. :) His sleep schedule is a little better, which make Mommy happy! We are looking forward to seeing Grandma in October when we go to Atlanta.Comments:Add a comment:

Zack enjoyed his visit with Grandma and Grandpa (Vavoo) Silva. They visited for two whole weeks in July!
This past weekend, Zack took his first big trip with mommy and daddy to visit their friends the Spears in Las Vegas. He did well on the 7 hour trip and enjoyed the visit and the warm weather!Comments:Add a comment:

Zack had his two month Dr. appointment this week and weighed in at 13lbs 7 ozs. He's outgrown all his 0-3 clothes. He had his first Easter and all the kids at church loved him in his dress-up suit. He's starting to hold his head up but we're still working on sleeping through the night. He's fascinated by the bears on his swing.
